The four piece band, which formed early 2011, includes Layne Twist (lead vocals, guitar, keys), Travis Coursey (guitar), and Kendra Lane (bass, vocals). From the very beginning, Chasing Pictures has been creating a buzz in the region. Listen to them play on stage and you’ll see why. Live, their raw energy emits from the stage, captivating the audience from the very beginning with their tight, electrifying sound.
Just four months after playing their first show in November of 2011 at George’s Majestic Lounge, Chasing Pictures was nominated in two categories – Indie/ Alternative and Best New Artist – for the 2012 NAMA (Northwest Arkansas Music Awards). Yet, NAMA is not the only organization that has taken notice of Chasing Pictures’ solid vocals and music in such a short time. The band also won the 2014 Battle of the Bands, presented by The Stolen Glass in Fayetteville, AR. Even more impressive, Chasing Pictures has already opened for International/ National acts such as AWOLNATION, Blue October, Finger Eleven, 10 Years, The Lemonheads, Fair to Midland, IAmDynamite, Hurt, Architects, and Sleeper Agent.
