One of my favorite local bands has to be Vintage Pistol. There has been a time or two where the old guy drinking a coke in the back of the venue was me. Quietly admiring some of the best collaborated talent NW Arkansas has to offer.
Vintage Pistol is a five piece inspiring roots rock band originating from the Mountains of Fayetteville. The new age blues jam rockers resemble that of today’s Marcus King Band and Gary Clark Jr., while sticking true to that of yesterdays Allman Brothers Band and Van Morrison.
Comprised of a HEAVY rhythm section, encompassing guitar work and well crafted songwriting – Vintage Pistol is a tight but exploration and energetic live performance not to be missed.
The band has recently released another single, “Lay It Down”. This soulful blend of Rock and Blues takes me back to my better days. Certainly to be a hit among the older generation and sure to be a favorite for the new.
