Michael Tisdale officially began his musical career in 2002 with the Red Dirt Country band Solomon’s Vine, where contributed songwriting, lead guitar, and backing vocals. The band saw some regional success, opening for red dirt artists like Charlie Robison, Stoney Larue, and Reckless Kelly. They recorded a 5 song demo, and a full length album ‘Heartbreak Radio` with local producer Mike Bailey in 2005.
In 2007, with some experience under his belt, Tisdale decided to start his own project, The Revolving Doors. The concept was an acoustic guitar and piano duo at the core, that pulled in as many local artists as possible to form “a different band every night, a different party every time.” Still focused on the Red Dirt sound, Michael functioned as lead guitar/ lead vocals/ songwriter for the project.
In 2010, he decided to go a different direction musically, and formed Michael Tisdale and the Union. He wrote, sang, and played lead guitar for this four piece blues rock band that played regionally, smoked too much, laughed too loud, and drank whiskey. They recorded a four song demo before calling it quits in 2013.
In 2014, Tizzy joined Randall Shreve & The Sideshow, playing lead guitar, accordion, and backing vocals. However, his tenure with them was destined to be short-lived. Just 7 months after joining the Sideshow, the band members decided to call it quits.
In 2015 joined Randall Shreve and the Devilles, who released an album this summer titled, The Devil and the End.
When he is not busy being a (de)villain, He tries to stay busy playing solo acoustic shows, and working on mixed medium paintings and drawings. Follow Michael of Facebook to stay up to date..
