Artist Spotlight – Ashtyn Barbaree
Fayetteville’s young Folk Singer/Songwriter, Ashtyn Barbaree has been making a name for herself in the local music scene as well as while touring nationally and internationally.
In early 2018, she recorded her self-titled debut album at Butcher Shoppe Studio in Nashville and has since released her latest single Rhythm of the Road.
In December 2018, Ashtyn was the first NW Arkansas artist exported to Europe through a grant from the Walton Family Foundation, the idea being to help bring recognition and awareness to the music scene in this area. Ashtyn has performed across the United States, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, The Netherlands and Germany.
2019 was just as busy and included performances at Folk Alliance International in Montreal, Canada, an official showcase at CD Baby’s DIY Festival in Austin, Texas, an artist residency at Bethany Arts in NY and a month of touring Europe.
For Ashtyn, 2020’s Covid19 pandemic has affected her like so many others in our area and has used Social Media to stay engaged with her fans with live stream videos and local show announcements.
Ashtyn announced in early November that she’s been in the studio, recording a new album which is to be released in 2021.
