Arkansas Cannabis Releaf Fest! A benefit concert to support the Arkansas Medical Cannabis Act.

About Arkansans for Compassionate Care (ACC) is a coalition of concerned patients, health care workers and allies who agree that sick and dying patients should have access to medical cannabis with a doctor’s recommendation. For thousands of chronicallyill Arkansans, the pain and nausea relief afforded by cannabis helps them live comfortably without harmful side effects.

But cannabis is currently unregulated and not legally available. Arkansans for Compassionate Care offers a better choice with The Arkansas Medical Cannabis Act. This comprehensive bill proposes controlled access to a medicine that is proven to be both safe and effective, especially against the debilitating effects of chronic illness and harsh medical treatments.

The group needs roughly 68,000 signatures to put the initiative on the 2016 ballot. To date, they’ve collected about 36,000. They have until July of 2016 to collect the remaining signatures.

Arkansans for Compassionate Care is hosting a night of music and medical cannabis advocacy this Saturday at the Restaurant on the Corner (ROTC) in Fayetteville. Musical guests include
