(NORTHWEST ARKANSAS) The House of Songs Ozarks presents an evening of original music from songwriters across Arkansas and around the world.
The House of Songs Songwriter Showcase is set for April 6 at Bike Rack Brewing and features music by Canadian singer-Songwriter Kevin McLachlan (Yukon), Ten Penny Gypsy (Little Rock), Alaina Hawf (Eureka), andCandy Lee (Bentonville).
Tickets are $10, Doors open at 6:30pm; Show starts at 7:00pm in the Bike Rack Brew Room.
Kevin McLachlan was born in raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. Inspired by the many amazing singer-songwriters who have come out of Canada before him, Kevin aims to tell simple and honest stories about his home and himself.
A recent graduate of Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Program when he’s not performing his own music he can be seen performing all across Canada in various plays, musicals, and touring productions. Kevin McLachlan has released two original albums Small Town and Moments to much acclaim and has performed his own music across Canada from PEI to Vancouver Island at various concerts, festivals and celebrations.
He originated the Sheridan Coffee House that allows for young writers to present original and new works each month. All his music was recorded in the early hours of the morning between classes and shows with his best friends – and he wouldn’t have it any other way. in He is currently writing a third acoustic album that is yet to be titled.
The House of Songs Ozark will host Kevin McLachlan for an artist songwriting residency April 1-7.
