Byrd’s Adventure Center (7037 Cass Oark Road) in Ozark, Arkansas will once again be the home of Music on the Mulberry. Located about 15 miles north of Interstate 40 (exit 35).
MOTM is the passion project of Ozark’s native son Lance Carpenter, professional hit songwriter and Showdog Nashville (Toby Keith) recording artist. Carpenter known for being one of the songwriters behind Kelsea Ballerini’s breakout #1 hit song “Love Me Like You Mean It” recently signed a record deal with Showdog Nashville (owned by Country superstar Toby Keith)
Carpenter was interested in starting a small music festival in his hometown and wasn’t sure how to make it happen. In 2013 “Thunder on the Mountain” started bringing amazing country music to the area but in 2015 cancelled it’s event only 2 weeks before it was to kickoff and so Music on the Mulberry was born.
IN 2018 his efforts were recognized at the Ozark Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet when his festival was awarded EVENT OF THE YEAR honors. Carpenter says, “I love my hometown and I am very proud to be making a positive impact in my community, a place where Hillbilly Pride Runs Deep. I know we are a small event but we have grown every year and I hope that we continue to grow and continue to make an even bigger social and economical impact on Ozark and Franklin County.”
This festival wouldn’t be possible without local businesses and individuals sponsorships and volunteers who work tirelessly to make sure all festival attendees have an absolutely great time. If you have attended you know how much fun it is, if you haven’t, you don’t know what you are missing. Ask someone who has attended and they’ll tell you how much fun it is…and then ask you if you’re going this year!
