Byrd’s Adventure Center (7037 Cass Oark Road) in Ozark, Arkansas will once again be the home of Music on the Mulberry on May 31st to June 1st, 2019.
MOTM is the passion project of Ozark’s native son Lance Carpenter, professional hit songwriter and recording artist. Carpenter known for being one of the songwriters behind Kelsea Ballerini’s breakout #1 hit song “Love Me Like You Mean It” recently signed a record deal with Showdog Nashville (owned by Country superstar Toby Keith)
Carpenter was interested in starting a small music festival in his hometown and wasn’t sure how to make it happen. In 2013 “Thunder on the Mountain” started bringing amazing country music to the area but in 2015 cancelled it’s event only 2 weeks before it was to kickoff and so Music on the Mulberry was born.
Carpenter says, “I love my hometown and I am very proud to be making a positive impact in my community, a place where Hillbilly Pride Runs Deep. I know we are a small event but we have grown every year and I hope that we continue to grow and continue to make an even bigger social and economical impact on Ozark and Franklin County.”
In 2018 Carpenter’s efforts were recognized at the Ozark Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet when his festival was awarded EVENT OF THE YEAR honors.
