Musician’s Pro Academy Opens in Johnson Arkansas
Johnson, Ark. – Musicians Pro Academy (MPA) is positioning itself as
Northwest Arkansas’s premier musical instrument and recording lesson
facility, providing everything from individualized instrument instruction to
classes on music business.
The academy custom tailors instruction for all ages and abilities. Students
will benefit whether they are ready to learn how to play an instrument, how music works in theory, how to record and program music, or the more
experienced student may come to polish their performance ability to ready
themselves for a band audition, a gig, or full scale professional recording
sessions and live performances.
Students can choose to set up individualized lessons with MPA’s expert
staff and they also offer many group classes including instrument based
group courses, rock band group classes, singer/songwriter classes,
performance showcases, and a variety of others. Most importantly, Music
Business classes will be available to bridge the gap between art and
commerce for the students. In addition, MPA is planning master clinics and
presentations featuring professionals in the music industry to enhance the
learning environment for students.
MPA offers a recording curriculum devised in conjunction with its sister
studio, Echo Lounge Sound Studios. This course of training offers
education on the art of recording and music programming from the
perspectives of both artist and engineer. Based on the most up-to-date
industry standards and equipment, completion of the curriculum will broaden and refine the abilities of students interested in improving and
perfecting the translation of music to media.
MPA teachers undergo extensive periodic training to maintain competence
in all that is music instruction and technology. MPA believes this is the best
way to assist students and teachers in developing themselves to exceed
their goals. Teachers are encouraged to push themselves musically to
achieve their individual goals, in addition to teaching their students.
In speaking with owner Shaun Bayles he said of their motivation for
opening, “We wanted to provide a place where students could flourish. Not all music instruction is the same. We want to provide a place that is
limitless in capability for students. Our goals are to teach the students how music works so they can discover their instrument and their own musical path.I believe that is what helps lead the way to a lifetime of personal
enjoyment with music. Regardless if someone wants to learn music for their own creative curiosity, hone their personal skills, learn how to create their own music easier or if they want to take what they have to the next level, we want to help in anyway we can.”
Shaun, a Northwest Arkansas native, has recently relocated back to NWA
after an extensive, 20 year career in Nashville, TN. He is a graduate of the
acclaimed Belmont University and has performed for artists such as Little
Texas, Dustin Lynch, Carmine Appice, Bucky Covington, Trent Willmon,
Michelle Wright, Katrina Elam, and many other Major Label artists.
MPA is located at 2403 Main Drive, Johnson, Arkansas.
