Kid Rock Sets Little Caesars Arena Attendance Record
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Kid Rock wrapped up six explosive sold-out shows in his hometown of Detroit at Little Caesars Arena, setting the attendance record with 86,893 tickets sold and bringing thousands of fans to The Motor City. From “Born Free” and “Batwitdaba” to “Picture” and “All Summer Long,” Kid Rock gave his fans a little bit of every genre he covers.
Not only was Kid Rock the inaugural act for the venue, but he also opened Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit restaurant at the recently completed Little Caesars Arena. The restaurant features an array of contemporary food and music inspired by the award-winning musician.
The recording artist has blazed his own trail in the music world, having sold over 26 million albums to date. Since the spontaneous release of his two most recent tracks, “Po-Dunk” and “Greatest Show On Earth” and their accompanying videos in July, Kid Rock has been at the center of media coverage speculation as to his musical and personal ambitions, with hints of a Senate run in the near future.
The Detroit run comes on the heels of Kid Rock’s latest release, “Tennessee Mountain Top,” currently available on streaming and sales platforms and impacting country radio October 2. While Kid Rock’s early career was linked to the hip-hop and rap genres, his musical talents intersected early with country audiences and created a connection that has continued to grow each year.
He found success in country music with “Picture” featuring Sheryl Crow (2003) and “Can’t You See” with Zac Brown Band (2010). In 2016, Kid Rock joined Jason Aldean at Fenway Park in Boston for part of Aldean’s Six String Circus Tour. This October 6th and 7th, he will host Kid Rock’s Third Annual Fish Fry in Nashville, yet another sign of his close ties to Nashville and country music.
