Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody passes 1 billion YouTube views since it’s been uploaded to the video giant as they announce that the band will release a remastered version and announce “You Are The Champions” campaign.
The Bohemian Rhapsody video is now the first pre-1990’s video to reach 1 billion views. The band announced that it will celebrate the milestone by releasing a re-mastered, hi-def version of the promo and announced a campaign titled “You Are The Champions“.
Queen has teamed up with YouTube Music, Universal Music Group and Hollywood Records for the project, which will give fans an opportunity to have a role in three new user generated videos.
Queen are looking for musicians, singers, and instrumentalists for their take on Bohemian Rhapsody, while dancers are invited to submit their own routines and interpretations for Don’t Stop Me Now. Visual artists will also have the chance to design something eye-catching around a word or phrase from A Kind Of Magic’s lyrics.
Submissions open August 1st – August 18th at 11:59pm ET
Visit the You Are The Champions website to find out more about being in the next Queen video.
