The City of Johnson will host their annual Johnson Days Festival on June 11th. The Johnson Fire Department will kick it off with their popular $5 Pancake Breakfast. This year, local radio station 96.7 The Coyote will be on site and broadcast live from the fire station as well as offer great giveaways and a chance to mingle with the DJ’s.
The Johnson Police Department‘s FOP will be offering Bratts and BBQ after 10am. The FOP uses proceeds from events like this as well as donations that go towards getting Christmas gifts for kiddos. There will be Bouncy Houses, Finger Printing and other fun, free activities thru out the day as well as several vendors showcasing their products and services.
Local radio station, Star 101.5 supplies music in the main event area then free live music will be provided thru out the afternoon. The annual Car Show will start registration at 9am at the cost of $10 per car. Cars will be judged in several categories and end with a trophy presentation at 1:30pm at the Pro-Mobile of NWA Stage.
The afternoon will include local cover band, Coverblind at at the Pro-Mobile of NWA Stage, an acoustic duo based in Northwest Arkansas who specialize in unplugged versions of classic rock songs from artists like Tom Petty, the Eagles, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Pearl Jam, Steve Miller, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Bob Seger, the Allman Brothers, and many more. Coverblind features James Paynter on guitar and vocals and Chris Graves on percussion.
